Project Brief: The Lapeer Area Chamber of Commerce is the local Chamber of Commerce for Lapeer, Michigan. The Chamber in Lapeer works very hard to promote local business, connect business together, and to have as many networking events as possible for local business owners to meet up.
When the Lapeer Area Chamber of Commerce came to Web Centre they had the #1 problem that we see with local businesses: Their current web designer NEVER would get back to them when they needed something. At Web Centre, we hear constantly from businesses we meet with that it’s hard to get ahold of their web designer – or to get any customer service. They also had a website that looked – and was – very old. They needed a huge update. In fact, their existing website had viruses on it.
We completely overhauled the Chamber of Commerce website adding an online registration form for businesses to sign up to be a member of the chamber, added advanced mobile-friendly functionality, and help them consistently with whatever they need on the website. The website even has a built-in calendar that the Chamber of Commerce can update themselves, users can save events to their favorite calendar app, and the events automatically disappear from the website when the event is over. Making it ever-easier for the Chamber of Commerce and us to manage their website together.
